We enjoy welcoming newcomers, so we’d love for you to come and see what Connect Church is like. You’re welcome to join us whether you’ve been going to church your whole life, never been to a church before, or anywhere in between. By planning a visit, we can have a team member ready to meet you, show you around and even contact you before Sunday if you’d like.
We understand that meeting, or doing anything, for the first time can sometimes be tough so we’ll do our best to help you enjoy your experience. Our church culture is one of expectation and hope and we are a casual, relaxed and friendly bunch! Come as you are and expect a warm welcome.
The church service begins at 9:30am and people begin arriving about 15 minutes prior to chat, have a quick catch-up and find a seat in the auditorium.
Some people will arrive earlier to pray together, and you will see others helping prepare for the service.
The service is about 90 minutes in length.
We start with the Connect Worship band leading the church in songs of praise and worship, lyrics are displayed on the main screen so you can sing along, and we encourage you to engage however is most comfortable.
Next, we have Communion where we remember the death of our Lord Jesus on the cross (everyone is welcome to take part) and a brief message about the importance of Generosity.
Finally, you can expect to hear a powerful message from the Word of God (the Bible) and how to apply it to our life today.
Children are an important part of our church family. They are encouraged to take part in every aspect of the service, including singing and communion. We provide colouring-in for small children and notebooks for older children to help them engage with the message.
(We understand that kids make noise and fidget and that’s okay – it adds to the family atmosphere.)
We have a crèche for pre-school children and a parent’s room with live feed of the service for parents of babies and toddlers who need extra attention.
Every 6 weeks school-age children are invited to join a Connect Kidz service run separate to the main service, but they can also stay with parents in the main service if you/they prefer. For safety and peace of mind we require you to sign your child/ren in and out of Connect Kidz and rest assured, any Connect Church leader working with children holds a current Blue Card.
